My favorite part of this week was when Andrew and Ashely came in and talked to us about their experiences when the Tree of Life shooting happened. It was cool to hear about where they were that day, especially with Andrew being from Squirrel Hill and hearing the experience for a resident of that area was something different for sure.

I haven’t really heard anyone else talk about what they were doing that day but hearing also how they covered the story was very interesting and kept me engaged for a long time. Also hearing that they both knew people who attended the synagogue seemed like it would be scary to see something bad happen at a place where their friends go, but it was intriguing nonetheless.

Andrew telling us about what was happening at the scene was one of the most interesting things that they talked about.  Ashely telling us about how she talked to a witness was also one of the most interesting things. I would definitely want to hear about other reporters and even first responders experiences that day.
